Three Nations Conference Award

Description

This award assists Maori or Pasifika students, or students who are indigenous to states or territories of Australia, whose financial circumstances would otherwise preclude them from undertaking postgraduate study in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Canterbury.

The scholarship was established from funds provided by the income from a sum that had been raised from the Three Nations Conference on Development and Underdevelopment in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, held at the University of Canterbury in 1980.

Eligibility

Applicants must be part-time and full-time Maori and Pasifika students, or part-time and full-time students who are indigenous to states or territories of Australia, who have enrolled in, or who have applied for admission to, a programme in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University for a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, master's, or doctoral degree.
