Conference information
Cost
We have worked hard to keep the costs to a minimum. You can register for the full conference with or without the conference dinner. We also have single day options and a dinner only option. All prices are excluding GST.
- Full conference registration (including dinner) – $275
- Full conference registration (excluding dinner) – $200
- Dinner ticket only – $75.00
- Day one only (includes lunch and afternoon tea, but not the conference dinner) – $100
- Day two only (includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) – $100
Registration
The registration desk will be open from 9am Wednesday 9 November and be available through out the conference. Please visit any time to collect your name badge and conference pack. We can provide storage for personal belongings and general information.
Parking
Parking is free in the UCSA carpark, 90 Ilam Road, Ilam, Christchurch, for all participants. Please collect a sheet to display in your vehicle from the conference registration desk.
Accommodation
There are numerous local motels and hotels participants can book. We have negotiated a rate at the Commodore of $279 per room per night for a Premium Level King or Twin Share Room. Please contact the Hotel directly via email reservations@commodorehotel.co.nz and quote URONZ2022.
The Hotel operates a courtesy shuttle 24 hours a day on demand. To be collected from the airport upon arrival, call +64 3 358 8129 to arrange. There is a collection point outside the airport terminal for Hotel Courtesy Shuttles. They will also provide a transfer back to the airport if required.
Please check with the Hotel regarding transport to the conference venue.
Transport
We will have some shuttles and drivers available to transfer conference attendees to their accommodation following the dinner. We cannot guarantee we can accommodate all attendees, but will have sign-up sheets available on the registration desk.
Virtual Attendance
We have made the decision that this is primarily an in-person event. We may be able to allow online attendance for some sessions, but we cannot guarantee this for all sessions. Sessions are unlikely to be recorded. If you would like to discuss with us about attending a session virtually, please email research@canterbury.ac.nz
