Dr Andrew Lapthorn from UC’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at work in the High Voltage Lab, the only facility of its kind in a New Zealand university. It does commercial testing for the electrical industry.
Biological scientist Dr Daniel Stouffer has been awarded the inaugural UC Early and Emerging Career Researcher Award. He is a theoretical ecologist whose research focuses on species-species interaction networks.
The first New Zealander to be honoured by Pew with a Marine Conservation Fellowship, Dr Eisert works in UC’s Gateway Antarctica Centre, where she studies marine mammals, nutritional ecology, and mammalian physiology.
