AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) confirmed the reaccreditation for a further five-year period on 30 January 2021 following the continuous improvement review undertaken in October 2020.

The Peer Review Team conducted the review remotely, via Zoom-based interviews from the US and Australia due to travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19.

While this created a unique set of challenges, the Peer Review Team’s Chair was fortunate to have visited the campus prior to lockdown giving them a valuable insight into the Business School.

Head of the UC Business School, Professor Paul Ballantine acknowledged the work of the team behind the reaccreditation and the importance of this mark of quality for the Business School.

“This reaccreditation is testament to the consistently high level of excellence in the Business School’s teaching programmes and research, and recognition of this on the global stage. I would like to thank all the staff who contributed to the review process.”

AACSB, founded in 1916, is the longest-standing global accrediting body for business schools. It is the hallmark of business education excellence and is only earned by less than five percent of business schools worldwide.

AACSB Accreditation Standards are used as the basis to evaluate a business school’s mission, operations, faculty qualifications and contributions, programmes and other critical areas.

AACSB accreditation assures students and parents that the business school is providing a top-quality education that is relevant and engaged with industry.
