“Empowered Humanity: Making Knowledge, Innovation and Progress Accessible to All”

The 6th International Conference on Social Sciences 2019
(ICOSS 2019)

The 6th International Conference on Social Sciences 2019 (ICOSS 2019) invites academicians, social workers, policy makers and other stakeholders to send original research abstracts, case studies formatted according to the given format. The conference will be held from 19th – 20th September 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the theme “Empowered Humanity: Making Knowledge, Innovation and Progress Accessible to All”.

In a world where inequality and injustice are rife, the need to empower people through the sharing of resources, knowledge and capacity is imperative for progress. Empowering people to effectively respond to the emerging challenges of globalization, marginalization, conflict, discrimination, poverty and inequality through the accessibility of knowledge, innovation and progress is one of the greatest challenges today. The increasing gap between the poor and rich countries, the rise of racism, the increase in global political tension, to name a few, have challenged social scientists to think more critically about how their research can contribute in an innovative way to making knowledge, innovation and progress accessible to all, not just to the privileged few.

The theme is interdisciplinary in nature and broad enough to cover a range of disciplinary areas such as sociology, international relations, economics, technology, political science, development studies and gender studies, to name a few. Presenters may provide theoretical discourses or empirical case studies revolving around the theme.
