I'm sure you all know the significance of the date this coming Saturday, February 14th - of course it's the first match of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup and New Zealand will be playing Sri Lanka right here in Christchurch! But if you missed out on tickets you can still go to the Opening Ceremony in North Hagley Park this Thursday.So this week's image from the Macmillan Brown Archives is simply titled Plate 0272 - Cricket. This image has been digitised from a glass plate from the Engineering School records. Unfortunately we don’t know much about it. Does anyone recognise where it was taken?
