International Open Access Week (October 20-26, 2014)
17 October 2014
International Open Access Week starts on Monday 20th October and the UC Library will mark the occasion with a number of activities:The UC Library and Lincoln University will launch a series of short videos, where researchers explain how their research has benefited from being open access.
We'll profile one video every day. Or, if you just can't wait, you can view the videos here.
UC scholar Robin Bond’s (Classics) verse translations of Aeschylus' Oresteia Trilogy and the seven Tragedies of Sophocles will be made available in the UC Research Repository for the first time. These plays will be published over the coming year.
Hot off the press! - here is the first verse translation to be published in the UC Research Repository - Sophocle's Antigone
The University’s policy of Mandatory Deposit in the UC Research Repository will come into effect from 20 October 2014. The aim of this policy is to increase the visibility, impact and accessibility of UC research by increasing the number of deposits made to the UC Research Repository. While UC researchers are expected, where appropriate, to submit suitable versions of their work (post-print manuscripts) they can opt out of doing so.
