The UC Art Acquisitions Committee seeks to support emerging Canterbury artists by showcasing the excellent work of our final year and postgraduate students, and acquiring examples of their work for the University’s permanent art collection. This is an opportunity for students to take part in an exciting exhibition and have their work represented in a major public collection.
The UC Art Acquisitions Committee acquires a maximum of three pieces for its permanent collection from those artworks in the annual exhibition. The works to be acquired are chosen by a guest judge. This year's judge is writer and independent curator Dr Lara Strongman.
Award announcement & exhibition celebration 5.30pm Wednesday 13 November, all welcome.
Gallery hours: 9am-4pm Monday-Friday, exhibition runs 5 November to 12 December.
