HathiTrustis an enormous digital repository of content from over 60 research libraries, the main contributors being the University of Michigan and the University of California. It includes nearly 6 million book titles (3.4 million are in the public domain) and 276,000 serial titles – over 4 billion scanned pages! Volumes published prior to 1923 are treated as public domain and are freely available.
HathiTrust complements Google Books by including additional material such as unique works from the repositories of each contributing institution.
