The Guardian newspaper (UK) recently launched an Australian edition snappily titled, Guardian Australia. The first story they ran was a beautifully told account of the 2013 bush fires in Tasmania. The piece, Firestorm, mixes writing, video, and audio to dramatically tell the story of a family who took shelter beneath a little wooden jetty as fire raged around them destroying their home and farm. If this is the future of journalism, the future is bright.
