Update of Remediation Work in the Central Library - as at 7 February 2012

The remediation work on the James Hight building continues and the remediation and betterment starts on level 11 mid February. The following is a list of work which will be completed on each level:
- new windows and frames
- new carpet
- walls painted
- replacement of heavy ceiling tiles
- crack injecting in the floor and walls if required
- changes to the heating system
- an upgrade to the lighting system
- an upgrade of the toilet facilities
If browsing of the collection is required by students groups then please make contact with Joan Simpson, the Manager of the Central Library who will arrange access to level 7 for restricted periods of time.
