TED: Ideas Worth Spreading
TED Talks are a series of the best presentations from the TED conferences - well known for riveting speakers - made freely available online under Creative Commons license.

TED started in 1984 as "Technology, Entertainment, Design", but the scope has broadened to include business, science, and global issues. You can browse tags and themes - watch talks on science, education, open source, or happiness. Or just browse from the homepage for talks that other viewers have rated as "funny" or "beautiful" or "inspiring".

In the TED Open Translation Project, volunteers have published nearly 26,000 translations of talks, in 86 languages and counting.

And if you've got an idea you'd like to share, TED2013 is selecting its lineup of speakers by running a series of public auditions in cities around the world.
