Friday Free Stuff: British Parliamentary Papers

31 August 2012

The University of Waikato Library have digitised material from the British Parliamentary Papers about New Zealand from the 1830s-1870s: reports, statutes, correspondence and other documentation sent between the colony of the time and the government in Britain.

These are particularly useful since even when similar material started being published in the Appendices to the Journals of the House of Representatives, a lot of reports were still sent directly to Britain instead.

You can search by keyword or browse by author, recipient, or date. And if you're interested in how these things get digitised, you can read a paper about the digitisation project.
