Looking for the hold shelf or textbook for your course?

  • PJH Level 2 Feb 2019

Over the summer, we have revamped learning spaces in the Puaka-James Hight Library (Central Library).

As you enter, you will see:

  • Hold shelf and high demand collections located in the open space behind the information desk
  • "Returned today" shelf, browse these items and check them out on the self-service kiosks
  • Te Rua Makerspace, to the left of the information desk - Coming soon
  • Reading space for newspapers, CD collection and new books
  • Self-service kiosks now all located in the same area (to the right of the information desk), look for the blue lights.
  • OPAC (library catalogue) computers located by self-service kiosks
  • Room 214 IT Help and Subject Librarians
  • Room 214 discussion rooms - next door to the 212 discussion rooms, now bookable.
  • Room 224 Seminar Room

Please note the DVD collection has moved to Level 7 and the video (VHS) collection has been moved into storage.  To access a VHS item, please log in to your library account and submit a request.

Floorplans will be updated once the move is complete.

For assistance or queries please ask one of our friendly team at the information desk.
