Group visits

We welcome school and community visitors to our library locations. If you would like to bring a group (4 – 25 people) to see us, we have the following options available:

  1. Having a look. Visitors are welcome to come and have an informal look at our library spaces, while respecting the study activities that will be occurring at any time that the library is open.
  2. General library tour. The general tour of Central Library or EPS Library (Engineering and Physical Sciences) is available between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday. It takes 20 minutes and a library staff member will talk to you about the services and spaces you are seeing. Please request a booking at least 2 days in advance for this service using the form below.
  3. Macmillan Brown Library tour. Macmillan Brown Library. Tours of Macmillan Brown Library may be arranged, subject to staff availability and sufficient notice.
  4. Specific visit tailored to the needs of your group. This may, for example, include learning tutorials on aspects of digital literacy, in-depth heritage and art research conversations, or briefings on the place of the library within university study. These visits need to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance and will only be offered as staff time permits. Please use the form below to provide a detailed summary of the expected outcomes from your group’s visit to us, and we will get back to you on whether it is possible to support you.
