Teaching law as a person of culture leads my interest toward relational intersections of the law and culture, in particular indigenous rights/tikanga Māori.
My research interest areas in the context of land law, Māori land law, disputes resolution and environmental law, include:
• exploring the impacts of the law on Māori and Indigenous Peoples;
• exploring potential solutions to Māori and Indigenous legal issues; and
• implementation of legal tools/models to empower Māori and Indigenous
I love what I do and value professional relationships to empower people with knowledge, through support and sharing of information.
