Your pathway to a UC education could not be easier. If you meet the entry requirements you can come directly to UC, otherwise you can transition to UC via one of our pathway partners. Find all the information you need below.

NCUK Degree Pathway Qualifications

The Northern Consortium offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree pathway qualifications that can provide an alternative pathway to entry into UC’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses. 

  • International Foundation Year 
  • International Year One
  • Pre-Master's Programme

Enrol at one of NCUK’s global Study Centre to obtain the qualification you need for entry to UC. Pathway courses are delivered in person at an accredited study centre near you.

College of English

CCEL is one of the leading English language schools in New Zealand and is UC’s and UCIC’s exclusive English language provider. Located on the UC campus, CCEL provides a range of English programmes including English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses, which enables students to have direct entry to their chosen tertiary programmes without taking IELTS.

UC is the only university in New Zealand with a Navitas pathway college on campus.  UCIC provides an entry point for international students that have just missed out on direct entry to UC.  UCIC provide extra support during the first year of study, offering a range of programmes from Foundation Studies, to the unique University Transfer Programmes (UTPs).
