UC International Welcome
UC offers a welcome and orientation session for all international students arriving to study at UC for the first time.

Haere Mai | Welcome!
We invite all our International Students' along to this orientation session, which is mandatory for any of the following student cohorts:
- Brand new to UC *
- Study Abroad
- Online to Campus pathway student's (transitioning to campus)
- UCIC and CCEL students' transitioning to UC campus
- New Zealand Mannaki Scholarship students'
- Returning students' (resuming on campus study after a period out of NZ).

For the first part of the day, all students will join together for:
- A welcome from the Vice Chancellor's office, and (UCSA) Student's Association Executive team
- Opportunity for you to meet other international and domestic students'
- Learn about student pastoral and academic support and services on campus
- Review The NZ Code of Practice
- Receive enrolment guidance, key semester dates
- Learn about bi-culturalism in Aotearoa (New Zealand), UC's values
- Have refreshments and lunch provided
- Tour of campus with UC Mentors
After lunch, we will be running TWO break out workshops to cover off specific start-up and enrolment support for:
- Study Abroad student'
- Brand new to UC, UCIC, CCEL, Online to campus pathway students'
