The student will develop tools and applications to generate design and manufacturing knowledge for Industry 4.0. Particularly the student will use machine learning tools, such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), to extract knowledges from literatures and develop principles to guide smart design and manufacturing. Depending on the student's interest and experience, the PhD project could focus on applications or development for real industrial applications.

Key qualifications and skills

Previous experience in smart design and manufacturing, machine learning, etc. is preferred, but not required. Master or Bachelor with honor degree in engineering or science.
