Critical Analysis of Role of Alternative Media in Society
The media landscape has radically changed. Alternative media have caused critical disruptions to the journalism industry that have fragmented the culture of journalism. This project aims to better understand the role and agency of individual 'alternative' organisations in the larger journalistic sphere. In addition, this project aims to examine how the alternative and mainstream media portray different marginalised groups and how that representation will inform/has informed the shape of journalism.
