Thinking of becoming a teacher? You can study by distance in 2021 and gain an internationally-recognised qualification without leaving the province.
Waiho i te toipoto, kaua i te toira. Let us keep close together, not far apart.
The Rotorua Principals’ Association and Te Kura Whakangungu Kaiako | School of Teacher Education deliver an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) hapori (community of learning) for distance education students in the wider Rotorua region.
This exciting partnership enhances the delivery of UC's highly-recognised Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Primary) programme and fosters close connections in the community. Much of your learning is by distance. Additionally, once a term a dedicated kaihautū (leader) – a UC lecturer – provides face-to-face workshops at Mokoia Intermediate School in Rotorua, to mentor and support you. Together in the ITE hapori, we'll help you to learn strategies and skills to become an effective and dynamic UC teacher graduate.
Come along to our information evening to learn about our Primary Teaching degree, fulltime, part-time and postgraduate options. Find out how the ITE hapori will support you on your journey to a rewarding teaching career.Contact website: https://www.canterbury.ac.nz/education/qualifications-and-courses/distance-and-regional-study/
