Following the Ministry of Health’s advice on COVID-19 and the University’s commitment to public safety, College of Arts have decided to postpone this event until further notice. How are young people making a difference? What are the issues they are facing and what are the possibilities for the future? Come and hear Sam Johnson, founder of Student Volunteer Army and SVA Schools, and Dr Sylvia Nissen Youth and Social Science researcher, Lincoln University, give their perspective on the topic.  

How can we live well in cities so young people can flourish but not stress the planet? This is a question which research teams in 7 cities around the world are exploring. This event accompanies the research exhibition Ōtautahi Mataora - Christchurch Living about youth living well in low-carbon ways in Christchurch, New Zealand; London, UK; Delhi, India; Dhaka, Bangladesh; Makhanda, South Africa; Sao Paulo, Brazil and Yokohama, Japan.
