Ever thought about working in a museum or art gallery? Do you love old books or buildings, but aren’t sure what careers might allow you to follow your interests? This event for Year 10-13 students will introduce you to the many and varied careers in heritage, arts and culture.

Guest speakers from across the sector (archaeologists, museum curators, conservators, special collection librarians, museum collection managers, exhibition designers, and more) will discuss their jobs, and let you know what skills or qualifications you would need to do the same work.

A light afternoon tea will be served, and there will be opportunities to mingle with the speakers and ask questions.

To register school groups or individual students please contact Terri Elder (terri.elder@canterbury.ac.nz) or Mikaela O'Neill (mikaela.oneill@canterbury.ac.nz), or use the Eventbrite link.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of CCC Heritage, we have a small number of vouchers on offer to assist schools with transportation costs. Please contact Terri Elder for details.

This event is a partnership between the University of Canterbury Teece Museum, the Christchurch City Council Heritage Team and the Christchurch Archaeology Project.
