Keynote Speaker
We are honoured that this year's key note speech will be delivered by Justice Christian Whata.
Justice Whata was appointed a High Court judge in 2011. He has adjudicated on a wide range of subject matters, including major common law, commercial, public, environmental, Māori and criminal matters. He is also a member of the faculty of Te Kura Kaiwhakawā | Institute of Judicial Studies responsible for the Tikanga Programme. While in practice, Justice Whata specialised in Māori legal issues and public and environmental law. He is from Ngāti Pikiao and Ngāti Tamateatūtahi - Kawiti of Te Arawa.
Early Career Day
As last year, the first day of the conference will be dedicated to early career researchers and PhD students. The day will bring opportunities for learning from experienced researchers about research and publication strategies, networking with other early and advanced researchers, and presenting your research as part of a poster presentation event. Of course, early career researchers are also welcome to present during the other days of the conference.
