Blind graduate Dylan Watts lands ideal first job

18 January 2016

Celebrating graduate success: Dylan Watts graduated with a BSc in Computer Science in 2016, overcoming barriers and using formatted material from the Assistive Technology & Alternative Format Centre to access course materials.

Landing your first job is always an exciting time. For one graduate, who began working for a software development company last week, it's particularly sweet.

Dylan Watts, 23, graduated from University of Canterbury (UC) with a BSc in Computer Science last month. He has been totally blind since birth.

Watts went for a job interview with Treshna Enterprises the day after his graduation ceremony, and he now works as a software developer.
