How do I get started?

Explore our individual research interests and existing research groups, and contact research leaders. It is best to contact individual staff members directly to discuss project opportunities. If the supervisor agrees to supervise your research you will receive a formal letter of invitation.

For other administrative inquiries contact mechanicalengineering@canterbury.ac.nz.

Which visa do I apply for and how?

You need to apply for a student and trainee work visa, as you will not be formally enrolled at UC. For further information go to the Immigration New Zealand webpage.
