Modelling strongly transient post-stall manoeuvres in morphing-wing systems presents many difficulties. However, the study of such manoeuvres is key to understanding the complexities of transient flight manoeuvres in biological creatures; and so the enabling of biomimetic supermanoeuvrability of a similar order. In this work we present and advanced flight simulator for a morphing-wing system, focusing on multibody dynamics, quaternion variational integration and Goman-Khrabrov dynamic stall modelling as two tools to deal with transient dynamic and aerodynamic effects. The simulator is verified and validated, and used to analyse a selection of biomimetic and other supermanoeuvres.
