NZSA awards Cambell prize to UC academic

Congratulations to Professor Jennifer Brown who last night was awarded the Campbell prize of the New Zealand Statistical Association.
The Campbell is awarded according to the following criteria:

  1. publication of an exceptional body of original statistical research undertaken within NZ; or,
  2. a prolonged and outstanding contribution to statistical education; or,
  3. playing a key role in consulting on major, innovative research projects that has direct relevance to NZ; or,
  4. making a leading contribution to the promotion of statistics within NZ over a sustained period.

At the conference dinner also two of our students, Losana Vao Latu Latu and Sarah Sonal, received an honorable mention at the student presentation prize.
