Abstract
I recently spent three months at the European Southern Observatory headquarters in Germany. During my stay, I was working on adaptive optics problems for the European Extremely Large Telescope, which will have a 39m diameter primary mirror. I will introduce the problems adaptive optics systems need to face with these extremely large telescopes and potential methods to overcome these challenges. My PhD research is focused on pyramid wavefront sensors for extremely large telescopes.
