Postgraduate Degree Planner
This planner is designed to help you determine which Computer Science qualification you are likely to be allowed to enrol for. It is only a rough guide as the final decision will depend very much on the details of your background. To get an official decision you need to apply using the form available from the University web page, and provide the details of your qualifications.
Please note that at UC a Masters' degree is a postgraduate qualification that follows three years of undergraduate study in Computer Science. In some universities you may have come across a Conversion Master’s which does not require a background in Computer Science. At UC the equivalent programme is the Graduate Diploma in Science, which can be used to get into a Postgraduate Diploma in Science, or a Master’s degree (which includes a thesis). Our Master’s degree consists of one year of advanced papers, followed by one to two years working on the thesis.
