Working in partnership
As part of UC’s internationalisation strategy, the College and the International Relationships Office (IRO) is working in partnership with Education New Zealand, Teach for Indonesia and Teach for the Philippines. Expert educators from the College will work online with more than 100 education practitioners and administrators to explore new ideas in Early Childhood Education, English Language teaching and Educational Management and Leadership.
Adapting rapidly to the demands of an online world the College has created new models of online engagement to add to its existing extensive portfolio of in-country Professional Development education short courses that have been delivered to partners from throughout Asia for the last 20 years. The College will continue to develop and offer these online courses to all interested parties as well as look to continue to strengthen relationships with partners throughout the region in anticipation of a return to on campus delivery at the University of Canterbury as travel restrictions allow.
The feedback from our course participants is exemplary. They appreciate our ability to specifically address their needs and provide insights, tools and systems that improve their practice. Above all, they appreciate the collegial, insightful and friendly approach our experts take while leading the courses. It creates a stimulating and enjoyable experience that has our participants keen to return for future courses.
