Testimonials

“Working with Scott over the past year and a half has both challenged and extended my thinking around reading in a multi-level classroom.  Scott has also helped us to develop and strengthen our literacy curriculum to reflect our unique learning situation and diverse learners.  I have enjoyed working with Scott as he places the children at the centre of all we do and both staff and children look forward to his visits.” Principal

“Scott brings a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge to his facilitation role. He uses appreciative inquiry to support a school in developing and implementing a literacy plan. With his strong knowledge base, ability to ask inquiring and clarifying questions and his practical support, we have been able to support staff professional learning which, in turn, has helped us to raise student achievement. Building teacher and leadership capability through coaching has been an effective aspect of Scott's work. I have no hesitation in recommending Scott as your literacy professional learning provider. Be prepared to work with an enthusiastic, honest, thought provoking adviser who is passionate about literacy and learners." – Principal

"Scott worked alongside our staff for two years. He has a comprehensive knowledge of effective practice in both reading and writing and excellent knowledge of assessment tools and data analysis. Scott was able to design a flexible model of professional development that included a focus on shifting student achievement data, differentiating programmes for priority learners, and provided multiple supports for developing teacher practice. These included classroom observation, coaching sessions, video feedback, a priority learner inquiry, strengthening literacy leadership, planning and resource support. If you want change in your literacy achievement I would thoroughly recommend Scott's expertise." - Literacy Leader and Deputy Principal
