Description

Changes in the role IT require business technology leaders to engage in new business, process and operating models. This course explores contemporary and emerging issues, technologies and business models as these relate to the management and use of information systems to enable and deliver significant, enduring and transforming business impacts and customer value.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students should be able to:
* demonstrate knowledge of key principles of emerging technologies, including related theories of innovation, change, and technology transfer;
* demonstrate understanding of and expertise in emerging technology forecasting using technology roadmaps, and needs-driven emerging technology evaluation.
* demonstrate an understanding of different digital platforms / services and their suitability for business applications;
* demonstrate knowledge of key principles related to the application of IS, specifically theories related to emerging technologies;
* demonstrate understanding of and expertise in identifying potential advanced IS projects;
* demonstrate understanding of design and implementation of emerging technologies that address business or societal problems.
