This course is designed to develop students’ understanding of some fundamental algorithms that are used to manipulate and analyse spatial data and explore how they are implemented in GIS software. Students will use Python and R programming languages. This course is largely lab and project based, where the context and theoretical framework is presented in lectures and tutorials in order to guide hands-on development.
