Description

Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering design principles. Electronic circuit simulation leading to a design-and-build project including circuit design and simulation, printed circuit board design, and construction of a working device with documentation. Documentation preparation.

Topics covered include:
● Mechanical analysis, drawing and design using Solidworks
● Circuit analysis and simulation
● PCB design and assembly
● Engineering design process

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Formulate requirements and specifications for simple design problems.
2. Apply design strategies and techniques, evaluation methods and technical knowledge to design hardware and software systems.
3. Demonstrate professional communication of a design.
4. Use reflective practices.
