This studio-based course applies advanced knowledge of building information methods, holistic andinterdisciplinary building design processes and collaboration to the development of solutions toreal design challenges. The course covers integrated design frameworks, managing multidisciplinarydesign teams and using building information tools in collaborative design projects. Learningincludes team design projects and training in digital tools.
A student who successfully completes this course should be able to apply advanced buildinginformation and collaborative design principles to: Developing technical solutions that integrate with the requirements of other buildingdesign disciplines. Utilising digital tools to communicate design issues and options with other designers andstakeholders, and to develop integrated design solutions. Implementing building information strategies and procedures for collaborative designprojects. Leading and managing collaborative design undertaken by multidisciplinary design teams.
