By the end of this course students are expected to have a basic understanding of the range and impact of laws and regulations restricting the media and journalists in New Zealand, including their underpinning principles.
This course introduces you to the legal basics that every journalist should know, by examining the key laws and regulations affecting the media and journalists. You'll develop a critical understanding of basic media law and relevant regulations, as well as practical skills in court reporting.
By the end of this course you're expected to have a basic understanding of the range and impact of laws and regulations restricting the media and journalists in New Zealand, including their underpinning principles.
