Description

This course will address the following issues: How is business different in a bi-cultural nation? Aotearoa New Zealand is a bi-cultural nation founded on the Treaty of Waitangi (1840). How does that affect the way we manage resources such as water and fisheries? How does that affect the way we think about health and well-being? This multi-disciplinary course will examine a range of issues from different perspectives of commerce (Accounting, Economics, Management (with an underpinning understanding of how they interact with Te Ao Maori - the Maori world. From this basis, an understanding of multi-culturalism and the globalisation of business will be examined.
