This course provides an understanding of nutritional principles for healthy living and maintaining and improving sporting performance. The course will identify recommended nutritional practices for various populations including athletes, recreational exercisers, and groups with specific nutritional needs. The use of nutritional supplements in sporting performance will also be examined.
This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop the Graduate Attributes specified below:

Students must attend one activity from each section.
Note the above Intensive Block labs are run in Christchurch on campus, offered over 2 days from 28 and 29 August. Students need to be physically present for these in-person labs.
Where applicable students will be expected to submit assessments via the online assessment system in the Learn class site on or before the due time and date. Student assessments are processed through the software Turnitin, to check for plagiarism.
