The design process for successful transition from product concept through to final design.
Students will practice their knowledge of design, realisation and production processes accrued in their 1st and 2nd year classes in the ideation and realisation of solutions.Students will familiarise themselves with the workings of some typical appliances including their construction and internal component configurations.Students will develop presentation and debating skills embodied by the creation of clear, concise presentations and participate in discussions. Generate theories and arguments around contemporary design theory and practice.Students will practice developing concepts, designs and creative technical solutions within their chosen appliance market.Students will practice and develop their 3D modelling skills to produce professional output.Students will develop numerous realisations through various mediums and achieve proof of concept as part of the concept & product development process, culminating in ‘print’-ready CAD files.
