We focus on learning and developing effective interpersonal skills to facilitate working well in a team. The overall objective of this course is to increase your effectiveness as a team member and leader. By the end of the course you will:Have improved self-awareness of your behaviour in a group and organisational setting; Have a conceptual understanding of the theory and research relating to teams and group dynamics, and be able to apply that understanding to a real work team;Have learned and practised a wide range of practical team membership/leadership skills such as managing conflict, decision-making, communication, and facilitating meetings.Learning Objectives, BComStudents have an in-depth understanding of their majoring subject and are able to critically evaluate and, where applicable, apply this knowledge to topics/issues within the discipline.Students have a broad understanding of the key domains of commerce.Students will develop key skills and attributes sought by employers which can be used in a range of applications. Students will be aware of and understand the nature of biculturalism in Aotearoa New Zealand, and its relevance to their area of study and/or their degree. Lectures for MGMT306-22S1 are not recorded using the ECHO360 lecture recording system due to class sessions being interactive and experiential. There is limited value in watching recordings of these sessions. Additionally, some of the class sessions experiences and interactions are confidential to that particular cohort of students, and may be sensitive in nature depending on what is discussed.Please note: You must attend all class sessions for this course in order to complete the various assessments. You will not be able to complete this course if you cannot attend all class sessions in-person.The class sessions will be outlined in the first two weeks of semester.

Assessment In Te Reo MāoriIn recognising that Te Reo Māori is an official language of New Zealand, the University provides for students who may wish to use the Te Reo Māori in their assessment.
