Description

The course involves a detailed study of the law relating to sale of goods, consumer guarantees, fair trading and other consumer protection legislation.

This course involves a detailed examination of sale of goods and the rules relating to consumer sales. This encompasses material from the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Learning Outcomes

  • At the completion of the course, students should be able to:
  •  Demonstrate an understanding of the law of sales of goods, consumer sales and selected fair trading issues;
  •  Demonstrate an understanding of the practical arrangements of the sale of goods; and
  •  Apply the law to complex factual situations.
