Description

Course provides a history of biomaterials through the lens of orthopaedic implants. Students will learn about various existing biomaterials used in the body, including metals, ceramics, and polymers, and will continue into novel biomaterials and emerging fields, such as additive manufacturing and how that influences medical device design.
