Description

Advanced vibrations of discrete and continuous systems in mechanical and mechatronics engineering

Learning Outcomes

Factual Knowledge: students will be able to recall and remember standard and advanced terminology related to oscillating systems and their analysis

Comprehension and analysis: students will own a library of analytical, computational and experimental analysis methods and routines for oscillating systems and be able to demonstrate such skills

Application: students will be able to apply comprehension to unfamiliar situations, including real-life engineering problem solving

Synthesis: students will be able to transform and combine taught methods to correctly generate novel results and outcomes for an unfamiliar engineering problem; professional formulation and presentation of results in form of report writing are part of the learning outcomes in this course

Evaluation: students will be able to think critically about and defend results of an analysis; they will be positioned to make informed conclusions and give constructive recommendations, to correctly evaluate and criticize results and obtained data
