Description

Linear amplifiers. Operational amplifiers. Operational amplifier circuits. Nonlinear devices: diodes & transistors. Switching circuits. Power supplies, AC to DC conversion.

Topics covered include:
• Linear amplifiers,  Input / Output resistance
• Negative feedback                
• Ideal opamps    
• Opamp circuits
• BJT  DC Circuits and Stability
• Design of BJT circuits
• FET and MOSFET physical characteristics and design
• MOS switching circuits
• Multistage amplifiers

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Analyze and design basic amplifier circuits
2. Design an OpAmp amplifier circuit for specific application
3. Analyze and design basic MOSFET switching circuit
4. Design and analyze multistage amplifier circuits.
5. Perform experimental work to determine electronic circuit behaviour and specifications.
