Description

This class is designed to examine the economics and logistics of postproduction, including managing post-production budget expectations, copyright, marketing, exhibition and distribution of digital screen properties. Students will explore the differences between distributing films and publishing games and the industry roles related to these tasks, and will apply this knowledge to their own projects. Students will develop a proposal for screening their work for distributors, including film festivals and streaming platforms, or a written strategy of how they will engage with games publishers. Students will apply this knowledge to the development and creation of a project in DISC403, "Digital Screen Project" (second semester). The second part of a two-semester sequence proceeded by DISC401.
