Description

In this course, art in Aotearoa New Zealand is explored through looking at a range of works deriving from Maori, Paheka, and Pacific traditions. These works include paintings, carvings and buildings, and they have been selected for their rich entanglements with debates around art, culture, and society. This course explores the works in relation to their broad contexts, both in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas.
