Weaving the Curriculum: Science and Technology

Description

This course supports pre-service teacher development of curriculum knowledge and pedagogy of teaching science and technology in schools in Aotearoa New Zealand. Pre-service teachers explore science and technology education through engagement in future focussed themes and issues situated in authentic contexts, local curriculum, and Matauranga Maori and Matauranga-a-iwi. Pre-service teachers will successfully plan, resource, implement, assess and evaluate the learning areas of science and technology. The course will complement learning in other courses in the Primary endorsement, including Professional Practice.
