Description

The course will engage students in analysis of a wide range of contemporary issues in financial accounting and financial reporting. At the conclusion of the course, students will have acquired a deeper and more critical appreciation of the corpus of contemporary financial accounting thought and practice.

Learning Outcomes

1.  Be able to explain the theories of and methodological approaches used in the 4 areas of contemporary financial accounting (including some of the relevant literature); and
2.  To achieve Goal 1, you will have to demonstrate expert knowledge in analysis, synthesis and critical thinking.
