ThincLab is part of Callaghan Innovation’s national Founder Incubator network. We provide bespoke business support to assist ambitious businesses to take their products and services global.
ThincLab was originally founded as a partnership between UC and ChristchurchNZ, under the name Xstart. In late 2019, we became part of the ThincLab global network which provides our companies with space and access to mentors and investors in Australia, Singapore and Europe.
ThincLab is run by a dedicated team from the Centre for Entrepreneurship at UC. To ensure every one of our companies receives the bespoke support that is optimal for them, we also bring in relevant industry experts as mentors for each company. Alongside our amazing team of mentors, we work with a range of partners from various organisations (eg NZTE and Callaghan Innovation) to ensure all of our companies are utilising all the available expertise in our ecosystem. Alongside ongoing business support, ThincLab also provides co-working space, meeting rooms and an extensive Makerspace.
